We are happy to announce our new conservatory tent has arrived. The conservatory is a steel frame with glass inserts for the walls and a PVC vinyl roof. This new structure offers over 3900 sq ft of entertainment space adjacent to our wedding garden and pergola. Enjoy a garden setting all year with the peace of mind of a covered ceremony and reception space. 

We expect completion in late 2025; however, an opening date has not been set.


Please remember the conservatory at Bauknight House is a garden-style tent structure and as such is not completely airtight or leakproof. We plan to have HVAC and can provide more information on temperature control when that's complete. Despite pest control, insects can find there way in, especially when doors are open.


Our pergola is ready to use and is a beautiful backdrop for weddings and events. Power is available at the pergola, and there's ample seating area for 150+ guests with additional space for cocktail hour.


Yes, Bauknight House has five large bedrooms that sleep 10 and is included in our weekend package. There are additional accommodations a short walk away. A great option for your wedding party or guests of your event.


Yes, use of our tables and chairs is included in the wedding packages for up to 150. We have white garden chairs, 8' rectangular tables, 6' round tables, 30" cake table, hightop cocktail tables, and a few assorted smaller tables. We have seating and tables for 150. Inquire to add more for larger weddings & events. 


We are happy to provide a list of vendors to make the planning process easier. Our wedding & events liaison, Kayla, can assist with venue & vendor related planning. She can also provide event coordination, included in some of our packages or available as an a la carte option for small events.


Yes, in many cases you can use the vendor of your choice. You will need to provide a list of all vendors being used with their contact information. A vendor contract may be required, and all vendors MUST be licensed and insured. Quality vendors can make your day run much smoother, so we encourage you to ask detailed questions about what is included (i.e. setup, serving, bussing, cleanup, dropoff/pickup, etc).


Yes, we allow alcohol to be served by a licensed and insured bartender(s) (beer, wine & up to two signature drinks). Self service is not permitted. All alcohol must be secured at the end of bartender service. Security may be required if alcohol is served. 


Yes! We have a growing collection of tables, chairs, tableware, outdoor heaters, antique sofas, easels and SO MUCH MORE. Based on your reservation, we can provide a list of what is included or available as an a la carte option. Our selection is only available to use by Bauknight House clients. Before you rent or buy somewhere else, just ask if we have what you need. We're happy to offer this money saving option to our clients.


Bauknight House is ideally suited to entertaining, with both indoor and outdoor space, The 1200+ sq ft expansive covered veranda blurs the line between inside and outside beautifully. 

The interior can accommodate 20+ for a seated meal in the dining room & parlor with room left to mingle in the living & sunrooms. Cocktail or drop in style events can accommodate 50+ inside and many more outside.

Our courtyard and conservatory can each seat over 150. Contact us about guest lists of over 150 to ensure your setup will fit the space.


Yes. We have a beautifully restored bridal suite on the main level with a private ensuite bathroom. The home has four other bedrooms that would serve nicely as additional dressing rooms.

Coming late 2025-we will have a Groom's Dressing Den located next to the new garden restrooms.


Yes, small tents are a great way to cover food stations or offer guests shade during outdoor events. Please provide your vendor name & contact info to our venue coordinator for approval of the site plan and delivery/setup. She can also assist with locating a vendor for your tent rental. Please note that SC building code may require you to obtain a building permit for a tent depending on size, enclosure, etc. This requirement is not venue specific.

Our glass conservatory tent is also available as a primary event location or rain back-up.


There is plenty of parking available for you and your guests. Parking options include marked street parking along Main St. and a private lot on Main St. just steps away. 

We have off street parking behind the home for 5-8 cars for overnight guests and small events. 


Yes, we would love to give you a tour of our venue. We offer tours Monday through Friday and on Sundays by request. Please click the link below to schedule.
